The Mini has been stacking up instances of defeating seemingly more formidable opposition throughout its 35-year history. The Monte Carlo and World Rallying exploits of the Sixties and the British Saloon Car Championship victory for Richard Longman firmly established the tag of 'giant-killer', and to this day Mini drivers continue to perpetrate the act.
